X-magazine Jam was a monthly Jihanki-bon (vending machine magazine) published from March 1979 to January 1980 and led by editor-in-chief Dan Takasugi.
The cover mimicked adult magazines, but its content ranged widely, exploring topics like drugs, punk culture, occult themes, avant-garde art, and more.
It also became a platform for underground artists, featuring work from figures like Yoshikazu Ebisu.
X-magazine Jam is celebrated as a “legendary vending machine magazine.” A major influence on Japan’s subculture and underground scenes of the late 1970s.
A hard to find and chaotic magazine, a mix of eroticism and subculture
