X-magazine Jam was a monthly Jihanki-bon (vending machine magazine) published from March 1979 to January 1980 and led by editor-in-chief Dan Takasugi.
The cover mimicked adult magazines, but its content ranged widely, exploring topics like drugs, punk culture, occult themes, avant-garde art, and more.
X-magazine Jam was a major influence on Japan’s subculture and underground scenes of the late 1970s.
After Jam ceased publication, a new subculture magazine appeared, the legendary Heaven (designed by Heikichi Harata and Shin Sobue)
A very hard to find and chaotic magazine, a mix of eroticism and subculture
