Beach Lovers is a photo book by Japanese photographer Kohei Yoshiyuki, known as a pioneer of voyeuristic photography. Active since the 1970s, Yoshiyuki gained notoriety for his infrared photography in Document: Park, which sparked a trend in Japan.
In Beach Lovers, Yoshiyuki shifts his lens to remote Japanese islands like Taketomi and Niijima. Capturing the uninhibited atmosphere of summer beach destinations.
It offers a raw and intimate glimpse into the interactions of young men and women—whether lounging in swimsuits, socializing along the shoreline, or engaging in secretive nighttime encounters.

Beach Lovers remains relatively undiscovered by collectors and is increasingly difficult to find.
