The world of Shiro Tatsumi – Illustration NOW is a collection of works by Japanese illustrator Shiro Tatsumi (1938-2003). The binding of Daido Moriyama’s first photobook Japan, A Photo Theater was created by Shiro Tatsumi, who had just become independent. He then worked on theater posters for Shuji Terayama, and as a commercial illustrator and designer. This book is part of the Illustration Now series designed by Seiichi Horiuchi in the 1970s and presented by Keiichi Tanaami, Yoshitara Isaka, Yosuke Inoue and others, and includes 207 works, including the unique drawings and illustrations of Hell by Tatsumi.
