A foundational two-volume kinbaku photobook edited and staged by Hiroshi Urado, one of the key architects of Japan’s early SM visual culture. Closely linked to Dan Oniroku, Urado later worked as a nawashi on Nikkatsu productions, including Flower and Snake.
This specific set is exceptional.
The second volume is accompanied by 15 original photographs from the actual photo session used for the book, sourced directly from an Urado’s friend and collector. These are near-identical variants of the published images; the original printing materials remained with the publisher. Such material is almost never encountered on the market.
A true archive-level set, combining a seminal publication with original primary material.
For advanced collectors.
