DUNE was a fashion and art Japanese magazine with only 33 issues were published over 15 years (1993 to 2008)
The founder and editor-in-chief was Fumihiro Hayashi (1964–2011), a groundbreaking Japanese fashion editor, designer, and cultural figure who left an indelible mark on the global art and fashion scenes. Known for his rebellious spirit and original vision, he collaborated with figures like Sofia Coppola, Harmony Korine, and Chloë Sevigny, and supported emerging talent like Mark Gonzales and Terry Richardson. Today, his legacy endures through the people he inspired and the cultural movements he helped shape.
This issue features a series of interesting pages, including an interview with Margiela’s first collection for Hermes, as well as an interview with Sofia Coppola and photoshoot by Terry Richardson and others.
Over the years, Quaterly Dune has become a scarce cult fashion magazine.
