Kerouac magazine, published from 1998 to 2000, quickly became a cornerstone of Japan’s alternative fashion scene.
The magazine captured the spirit of Harajuku’s emerging counterculture — blending punk, gothic, and rave influences with bold Japanese creativity.
Very few issues were released before the magazine evolved into KERA, making original Kerouac editions exceptionally rare.
