Illustration Now: Aquirax explores the visionary work of Aquirax Uno (Akira Uno), a key figure in Japan’s avant-garde art scene. His sensuous lines, vibrant colors, and surreal eroticism shaped underground illustration, theater, and design in the 1960s and 70s.
Uno co-founded Studio Ilfil with Tadanori Yokoo in 1964 (which closed just a year later!) and created the striking scenography for the Theater Experiment of Tenjo Sajiki —a world captured in a rare photo book also available in our store.

This rare first edition hardcover comes with the original folded poster.

A superb copy of an essential volume.
