Noboru Nakamura joined Shueisha in 1970 and photographed many gravure models for magazines such as Seventeen, Weekly Playboy, and Monthly Playboy.
According to Nakamura: « The president of my agency asked me to take profile photos of Yuriko before her debut. When Hikari her sister came to visit, she was so cute that I took  pictures with her. But I had no idea that these pictures would be ever published.
At the end of the shoot, Hikari asked me, « Which one do you like better? » I told her that I wanted Hikari to be my mistress and Yuriko to be my wife. »
Hikari & Yuriko Ishida remain iconic figures in Japanese pop culture, admired for their talent, grace, and the legacy they built in the entertainment industry.

In 1996, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of their debut, this wonderful photo book was published.
