Born in Paris in 1953, Slocombe is an artist who has explored many fields of expression (illustration, writing, photography). Friends of Araki, he developed a whole part of his work in Japan, of which he has in-depth knowledge.
As a photographer, he is well known for his photos of young Japanese women wearing neck braces, bandages, eye patches, casts, etc. 
Broken dolls is a superb representation of these fetishes.
He has now completely stopped his photographic work to concentrate solely on writing dark novels.

A fascinating work
