For several years now, photographer Kito Fujio has been producing a series called “playground equipment” where he documents children’s play areas across Japan.
And the least we can say is that these play areas are much more sculptural and fun than you might think! Some take the shape of animals, others of robots or dinosaurs and some are simply composed of abstract geometric shapes but always fun and soft so as not to scare the children.
